FOREPLAY 2010 Kicks Off New Jersey’s LGBT Pride Celebration with a Twist!
New Jersey’s leather, bear and kink communities are gearing up for FOREPLAY 2010 (NJForeplay.com). A kick-off event for New Jersey’s GLBTIQ Pride Weekend, the FOREPLAY block party has become a hot ticket, attracting people from all over the state and the surrounding areas from Boston to DC. Launched in 2005 as a fundraiser for Jersey Pride (JerseyPride.org) and the only event for leather & bear folk, the FOREPLAY block party has become a “must attend” tradition for many in our community! With last year’s attendance breaking over 600 open-minded, fun-lovin men & women, you’ll want to be sure to make it to this year’s blockbuster. .
“This event is MY pride celebration! It’s the warm, fun, diverse crowd I look forward to being with over Jersey Pride Weekend! There’s so much that makes me want to be a part of FOREPLAY, including the live music and entertainment, the great food, games, prizes…,” says Tom from Bergen County, NJ. “I also look forward to the vendors and to seeing all the new things added from year to year.”
Anticipation for this year’s event is already growing, with details for the block party’s location are being adjusted to a new location in the heart of Asbury Park’s gay friendly business district that will accomodate another blockbuster crowd. Location details will be updated soon, but it will most likely be once again only a few blocks from the Asbury Park Train Station. The event runs from 12 noon to 6 PM on Saturday June 5, 2010, (rain or shine) and will include some exciting new additions and special surprises.
“We’ve been coming to Jersey Pride Weekend for years, and the [FOREPLAY] block party lets us celebrate our diversity as gay leathermen with other fun, open-minded people. We’re especially excited for this year since we’ll be staying at the host hotel [The Hotel Tides] and we’ve heard the block party will be bigger and better than ever,” say Alan and Scott from DC.
FOREPLAY 2010 will once again feature top-notch, live entertainment, a beer and cigar garden, vendors, tarot readers, demos, games, a tattoo contest sponsored by Neptune Tattooville and hundreds of hot men and women. FOREPLAY’s entertainment features live performances by some of the Northeast’s most popular LGBT entertainers, and DJ Cliff’s unique combination of dance, pop and country music keeps the party energized all afternoon.
